Drew or Shelly? (or Billy or Hannah or Rebecca or Nicholas)

Okay, we'll start out the weekend post with the lovely Hannah:

Even her brother is helping take care of her (or is she teaching him bad habits?):

Aunt Bambi is calling her the "bat baby" because she likes to hang upside down:

Billy took a nice relaxing bubble bath:

I told Shelly that everybody at work said she looks like Drew Barrymore in E.T., so she spent the day trying to be a model and pose and wanted me to get just the right picture. So here's my collection and see if you can tell which is the real Drew:

Gotta admit though, with just a little work, she could win a Gertie Look Alike contest.
Then came the other grandkids. Rebecca is so lovely when she first gets up in the morning:

The two of them like to pose for pictures:

Rebecca is getting limbered up for the upcoming cheering season:

Of course, she still is a Hannah Montana wannabe:

Imagine how it feels to fall down these steps:

Here they're playing a shopping game. Rebecca is ringing up Nic's purchases:

But the cashier got very tired:

So now you see a typical weekend in my life. This is what my life revolves around. My grandkids. I am so happy that Mary told me about this site even if I'm the only one who ever looks at it. I'm sharing my babies.

David's Bride

Some of you may remember the post I did on a couple at our church who had a wedding ceremony after they had been married 50 years. David and Florence Corum are their names. David had said he had always wanted to see his bride walk down the aisle to him. His sweet bride, Florence, passed over into Glory Land this evening. She was in St. Mary's Hospice in Halls. He never left her side. He stayed with her 24/7 in the short time she was there. She didn't want for anything that he wouldn't get for her. Theirs was definitely a marriage made in Heaven. One day they will be reunited on that Heavenly Shore. She was a precious lady in every sense of the word. She was also a wonderful Saint and a true Christian. We will all miss Miss Florence.

Nic's Birthday Party

Today Nicholas turned 5 years old. In a way it seems like he should be older, in a way it seems like he should still be in diapers. Bambi was so afraid that no one would come to his party. So we went by and got Billy and Shelly and took them. We had to take my mom and Doug's mom too, so we didn't have enough room for Hannah. Anyway, when we got there, there was one of those moon walk things that are filled with air and everything. Quite a few kids were there and older kids too. We all had a ball! The party had a spiderman theme, as you will soon see. I am not posting all the pictures. I took the red-eye off my camera, and the pictures turned out really lousy. Nic got alot of gifts, but I must say his favorite was from his mom and dad. A Nintendo Wii. Personally, I think he's a little young for it, but that's what he wanted, so they got it for him.
Here are my two favorite boys in the thing out back:

Nic and Shelly had fun jumping:

Even this "old kid" had fun jumping:

Don't really know what Rebecca was doing:

I had to put this picture of Shelly on here. Check out all the blond hair:

Then came the time for the yummy spiderman cake:

After Nic blew out all the candles, we all sat down for cake with extra yummy saliva where he kinda put the candles out by blowing raspberries at them:

Guess you could say he was really hungry:

Billy ate all his cake:

Shelly looked like she was saying something real important:

Poor Rebecca...sitting there with fork and spoon and no cake:

Nic handing his mom one of his birthday cards:

THE GIFT!!! A Nintendo WII:

Billy stayed occupied eating a second helping of cake:

You should have seen Nic when he opened his WII. Well, you can! Here it is!

My New Toy

Never let it be said that my son will out do me. I love his new car. So I went out this morning after I got off work and bought me one like it. Only mine's blue instead of red. I'm gonna have to go without a few meals, but as fat as I've gotten, it won't hurt anything. So here's my new Nissan Sentra (then I'm going to bed):

Poor Troy. He's wondering what kind of car he'll have to get used to next.

Doug's New Toy

Well, my son got a new car tonight. Not a "new used" car, but a brand new one! With all the bells and whistles on it. He doesn't even have to have a key to start it or unlock it! It is so cool! Now I want one like it. It's a red 2008 Nissan Sentra. And of course I have pictures.

And what post of mine could be complete without a baby picture? So here is Hannah doing her thing on Mommy and Daddy's bed:

About Me

I am now an RN. I love taking pictures, especially of my grandchildren. I love taking care of people and wish there was more time to do it. Management puts so much paperwork and picky stuff on us we really don't have time to do the job we are destined to do.
